Unique Color Line
Traditionally Our Color Families start out with the most intense pigment at a #.0 level and gradually lighten in tone to a .5 or .6 range. This unique line takes the same gradation, but is bumped up with contrasting pigments from the color wheel to give you a muddier palette to play with. Each one is distinct unto itself. Scroll down for descriptions on how unique this line truly is!
Wode 340.0, 340.1, 340.2, 340.3, 340.4, 340.5
If you haven't guessed, our Wode line is a toned down mixture of an overly compensated Ultramarine Blue partnering up with a Deep thinking Orange. This dynamic duo creates a range of color with hints of gray and brown. They are on their way to a shade of neutral gray, but it'll take years of therapy for this couple to ever reach that level in my opinion.
Aerial Yellow 350.0, 350.1, 350.2, 350.3, 350.4, 350.5
Aerial Yellow starts of as a golden lemon color and begins to fade into a muted, brownish hue. How do we do this you ask? It's the law of attraction. We just whisper little compliments of violet into the mix and it works like magic. "What a beautiful violet," whispered the yellow jacket.
Celadon 355.0, 355.1, 355.2, 355.3, 355.4, 355.5
With Celadon, we tone down this line by bumping up a fraction of medium red every step of the way. Xu Yin, a Chinese poet described this color as "carving light from the moon to dye the mountain stream." James Bond said it looked like a drab olive. Cheers either way! *lifting a dirty martini
Zanzibar 360.0, 360.1, 360.2, 360.3, 360.4, 360.5, 360.6
Cad Green 365.0, 365.1, 365.2, 365.3, 365.4, 365.5, 365.6
Kermes 370.0, 370.1, 370.2, 370.3, 370.4, 370.5
With so many flower enthusiasts out there, who can't help but want to keep a family of #370 Kermes in your arsenal?! Side note: Kermes is a red dye derived from the dried bodies of the female scale insect. In this series we intentionally muddy the palette by adding a green (Kermit the Frog inspired pigment) to the batch. Pick yourself up a dozen!
Atmosphere 375.0, 375.1, 375.2, 375.3, 375.4, 375.5
The Soft Pastel #375 Atmosphere Series blends the brilliance of violet with a delicate mixture of yellow that gives you a Purple Painting Sticks of Power!!! Wait, it that who I think it is? No... It couldn't be.... Yes. It's Grandmother Mauve! If your grandma didn't have any one of these color splotches in her bedroom or bathroom, you have no business buying this soft pastel line. Just kidding. Pull yourself up a seat and have some tea. Just don't soil my doily.
